- The Winnebago SuperCrossing will start Friday, Sept. 20th at 1:30 pm, at Roosevelt County Park. It’s a long-distance race with a relaxed format. Conditions permitting, the lake can be crossed from the south to the north. Some years it’s a challenge just to get to Wendt’s or Jim & Linda’s. The Finish is across from Wind Power at the Sunset on the water Grill & Bar. In 2012 we sailed to TJ’s, the new bar on the west side of the Lake. MoWind’s only free race!
- The Wind Power Championship is one of the biggest regattas with attendance from all over the Mid-west. It’s on the US Windsurfing National Tour. Wind conditions are usually very good, yet the water is warm with Fall approaching. Wind Power caters to the beginner racers; making them feel welcome and comfortable is most important! The famous “M” course (5 jibes) is standard and there will be many challenging courses for the A-Fleet to enjoy. Slalom Races will be held, wind permitting. Saturday night after beverages and dinner the Bonfire Ritual will take place.
