The Tour da Croix is coming up this weekend in Prescott, WI. It is a terrific event and very unique chance to do some long distance racing.

Unfortunately, the 2021 Menominee Windsurfing Regatta is cancelled, due to the city’s Waterfront Festival also being cancelled.

I want to thank Bill Caley and the entire team that puts on the regatta for their decades of great events. It has always been a fun time there. Hopefully our paths can cross again sometime soon.

So, the regatta won’t be happening, nor the Festival, nor the fireworks.

But, the tourist beach (locally known as Fat Lady Beach) is still open and available for windsurfers to launch on their own, and we believe camping is still allowed there.

We had another great weekend of racing in Worthington, MN. Saturday racing had shifty winds in the 0-10 mph range with lots of position changes and tactical racing. Sunday had some famous Worthington Wind that built to over 25mph by the last race. 5 races were run each day. The City of Worthington had their music festival to keep everyone entertained when they weren’t on the water.

MOWIND is back in business! The first official race since Covid finally took place last weekend in Fond du Lac, WI. Thanks to everyone who came out to race, it was a great time! And a special Thank You to the crew at Wind Power Windsurfing (Brian, Mary, Kevin on RC) and to Andrew Anderson for providing a committee boat. This provided top notch racing for everyone. Here are the results from the weekend.

Next up is the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Music Festival June 12-13.

The first event of the 2021 MOWIND Race Season is the Walleye Regatta this coming weekend! May 22-23 at Wind Power Windsurfing in Fond du Lac, WI.

• Racers must be a current member of US Windsurfing. You can join at this link – https://uswindsurfing.org/membership-join/ It is a $40 membership for racers on the Mowind tour. There is no other event fee for this regatta.
• Racers must also sign an insurance waiver form. It is available online at this location. https://bit.ly/2Rc3zYD

Schedule:

• Registration/check-in 9-11am Sat
• Skippers meeting at 9:30am
• First race approximately 11am
• Lunch break at some point
• Racing continues until 3 or 4 pm
• Sunday skippers meeting 9am
• First race Sunday at 10am
• Last possible race at 2pm
